Harvey Nichols Sales Associate (Full Time) – Charlotte Olympia Concession – Ref: HN02

To support our continued growth and development we are currently recruiting for full time and part time Sales Associates to join the Charlotte Olympia team within Harvey Nichols in London and provide support to your line manager.

Main responsibilities include:

  • being and reflecting the glamorous, luxury lifestyle image of Charlotte Olympia through customer relationship management, attitude, personal grooming, dress code and behaviour to the team
  • actively striving to achieve key performance indicators in order to increase store performance and reach individual and store targets
  • supporting your line manager and providing exceptional standards of customer service and surpassing customer expectations at every opportunity by following our “selling ceremony” and by personally providing exceptional customer service to VIP clients and delivering personal sales
  • building, developing and maintaining your own client database ensuring repeat visits and customer loyalty
  • participating in, and representing Charlotte Olympia, as may be required, during promotional events and activities actively engaging
  • participating in attending all store meetings and training events as required ensuring good communication is maintained
  • contributing ideas and suggestions to the team in order to achieve improvements in all aspects of the concession performance
  • actively ensuring merchandise presentation reflect VM standards and general tidiness and cleanliness of the boutique or concession at all times
  • supporting stock control and ensuring deliveries are processed swiftly and that the entire product offer is made immediately available and easily accessible to customers on a consistent basis
  • supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in any back of house and administrative operations as requested
  • supporting with stock takes, as and when required
  • developing a detailed knowledge of the product including construction, materials, care and design in order to provide exceptional and knowledgeable customer service
  • resolving customer complaints promptly and successfully by investigating problems, developing solutions and making appropriate recommendations to the Manager or Assistant Manager
  • maintaining effective stock controls to ensure continued stock supply and ensure stock record accuracy
  • demonstrating flexibility by supporting the Manager or Assistant Manager in any other ad-hoc duties as might reasonably be required in the successful running of the concession and the business
  • demonstrating a constant awareness and actively striving to achieve key performance indicators in order to increase concession performance and reach individual and store targets actively implementing and following our required procedures, standards and policies as outlined by Charlotte Olympia and as communicated by the Company and ensuring compliance with all health and safety procedures
  • being enthusiastic, representing the brand and always holding on to the core of Charlotte Olympia’s DNA

Competencies and Experience Required:

  • demonstrable success gained as a Sales Associate with a recognised brand and in a shop-in-shop environment
  • luxury brand experience in a retail environment preferable
  • excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • fluent English and other languages desirable, particularly European languages, Mandarin, Russian and Arabic
  • demonstrable skills of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • knowledge and understanding of the luxury market, customer service and fashion
  • successfully able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities in a multinational business
  • seeks opportunities to be proactive and pre-empt store and team issues
  • demonstrates respect, leadership capabilities and regularly exceeds expectations
  • shows innovation and initiative

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience of working within a luxury store environment
  • Shoes and accessories background
